Cell Cycle Interest Group

The Cell Cycle Interest Group includes researchers at NIH and the local area who are interested in all aspects of cell cycle regulation in prokaryotes and eukaryotes. The group aims to encourage collaborations, promote information exchange and provide a mentoring forum for fellows interested gaining presentation experience and promoting their research observations. Topics of particular interest include the regulation of mitosis onset, chromosome segregation, DNA synthesis and cell cycle checkpoints. Regular meetings are in the form of mini-symposia with keynote addresses by leaders in the cell cycle field, followed by presentations by individuals in the group describing recent results in their labs. The group also regularly sponsors sessions at the NIH research festival and special meetings are arranged for guest researchers who present an hour-long seminar. All our meetings are open to any interested individuals.
