Deep Learning in Biomedical Imaging Interest Group

The goal of the Deep Learning in Biomedical Imaging (DLBI) scientific interest group is to engage investigators who are interested in using deep learning techniques for biomedical image analysis. The DLBI SIG is a trans-institute group whose investigators use software based on deep neural networks to accelerate the analysis of imaging data obtained from a variety of imaging modalities (optical and electron microscopy, X-ray CT, MRI) for both clinical and biological research applications. The group meets to discuss the challenges of integrating deep learning techniques into analysis workflows and new developments in deep learning for biomedical imaging. The group meets biweekly to discuss recent journal articles, and hosts an invited speaker monthly.

The DLBI SIG was previously the "Deep Learning in Medical Imaging and Behavior Interest Group" but now has a sharper focus. For more information, contact Matt Guay, matthew.guay@nih.gov.
